After a "Help! My bag straps are lifeless!" plea today,
I thought I would post this here :)
Are your bag handles, straps, wrist strap, etc looking a little wilted?
If you are a talented pro with an iron...happy ironing!
If you aren't quite sure-
please use a pressing cloth between the fabric and your iron.
This avoids any scorching etc.
What setting should I use-
Steam and high heat helps on the cotton and linen fabrics!
Mixed cotton fabrics use a medium heat setting.
Synthetic blends, silk, and polyester, etc use a low heat setting.
If you want to go even a little further-
Some starch will make them nice and crisp.
You can use any starch found at local grocery and drug stores.
Or you can make your own: 1T Cornstarch dissolved in 2 C water. Make it in a spray bottle and mist the handles before you press.
If you are really feeling gung-ho-
Press the rest of your bag while you have it empty
and the iron ready!
Now your straps...and your bags are lovely fresh!
